The Objective

Bring the Florida Department of Citrus’ revenue back up by finding a new way to brand citrus.

The Result

The creation of “Citrology,” a 14-day bartending-education program that is recruited by restaurants and bars across the country to provide their employees with the latest citrus-based mixology training. Citrology’s main focuses are to:

  • Introduce FDOC differences and why it’s better
  • Educate how to store, cut, and juice fruit properly
  • Teach basics and foundations of mixology for all drinks and cocktails
  • Practice how to do twists, peels, and rims
  • Encourage how to upsell citrus-centered drinks

If Citrology can succeed in raising current drinks sold with a garnish from 2/10 (20%) to 4/10 (40%), garnish sales will increase significantly for the FDOC.
